“I’ve been where you are. I see you. And I’m here to help you thrive.”

Let’s work together to find your light and create real change.

Lynette G. Collins, LCPC, LPC, LMHC
Licensed Therapist with 15+ Years of Experience
Licensed in IL, MI & IN

Raised on the West Side of Chicago by a devoted single Black mother, I learned early the power of resilience, the value of education, and the importance of forging my own path. These life lessons continue to shape my work as a therapist and my commitment to supporting others with compassion and dignity.

I bring both my clinical training and lived experience into the therapy space. I’m a mother to a toddler. I’ve experienced loss. I’ve been a caregiver. I navigate this world as a Black woman. These parts of me help me understand where you are and hold space for whatever you're carrying.

I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Professional Psychology from Roosevelt University (2010). Over the past 15+ years, I’ve worked in long-term care settings, adult day programs, and community mental health. I also served as a Care Consultant for the Alzheimer’s Association, where I helped families navigate the complex realities of Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Who I Support

Whether you're wrestling with imposter syndrome, learning to love yourself more deeply, or simply trying to stay grounded in the chaos of life, you’re not alone.

I specialize in supporting:

  • Caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia

  • Women navigating identity, stress, and transitions

  • People of color

  • LGBTQIA+ individuals

  • Couples and partners in polyamorous, open, and non-monogamous relationships

  • Anyone seeking meaningful growth and healing

My Approach

I draw from a blend of evidence-based, trauma-informed modalities to create a therapy experience tailored to you. These include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – to help shift unhelpful thought patterns

  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) – to build on your strengths and create forward momentum

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) – to explore and care for the different “parts” of you with compassion

Together, we’ll work on:

  • Building self-esteem and self-compassion

  • Managing anxiety, depression, and stress

  • Navigating grief and loss

  • Working through relationship and career challenges

  • Supporting your role as a caregiver or nurturer

Let’s Work Together

Therapy is a collaborative space where your voice, needs, and lived experiences are centered. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered—without pressure or judgment.

If you’re ready to begin a journey of healing and self-discovery, I invite you to reach out. We’ll walk this path together.
